Pumpkin Patch FAQs
🎟️
Do I need to book in advance?
No- just show up! Entry to the patch is £2 per person, and we accept both cash and card payments.
The patch is open from 10am – 4pm on both Saturdays and Sundays throughout October.
🏫
Are you open in half term?
Yes! As long as we still have pumpkins available, we will be opening on weekdays during the half term holiday. As our stock runs out we will post updates about opening on our social media, so please call or check the socials @churchfarmbucks before coming.
💼
What do I need to bring?
Suitably sturdy footwear, appropriate warm clothing and a waterproof coat if it looks like it might rain. We also recommend to bring a camera, as there are lots of photo opportunities around the patch.
🎃
How much are your pumpkins?
Our pumpkins are priced based on their size, from tiny up to giant. Prices range from £1 to £12, and we accept both cash and card payments.
🐕
Are dogs allowed?
No. With the exception of guide dogs, we do not allow dogs anywhere on site.
🍴
Can you eat the pumpkins?
Yes! Every single variety we grow in the patch is edible. Some varieties are better suited to eating, and our staff are able to recommend the best and how to cook them. We also have recipes available, starting with simple dishes for the culinary novice and going to some more advanced tasty treats for the confident chef.
🔪
Can I carve my pumpkin on site?
Sadly we do not provide carving facilities at the patch.
☔
What happens if the weather is bad?
We will do our very best to remain open during all weather conditions. As the patch is in an open field, we strongly recommend wearing suitable, sturdy footwear, and that you prepare for the autumnal weather with appropriate waterproof coats and warm clothing.
We reserve the right to close the patch at any time if we consider the conditions unsafe.
♿
Do you have wheelchair access?
Wheelchairs are welcome, however the pumpkin patch is in an open field which means depending on the weather, the ground may be difficult to navigate. The area around our patch is wheat stubble, and the pumpkins have been growing in uneven, bare soil. If there has been recent rain we would suggest that the ground would not be not suitable for a standard wheelchair, however an off-road chair may be able to cope.
Please email [email protected] if you need any extra info before you visit.

Do you have pushchair access?
Pushchairs are welcome, however the pumpkin patch is in an open field which means depending on the weather, the ground may be difficult to navigate. The area around our patch is wheat stubble, and the pumpkins have been growing in uneven, bare soil. If there has been recent rain we would suggest that the ground would not be not suitable for a standard pushchair, however an off-road chair may be able to cope. If you would like us to store your pushchair while you and your child explore the patch, there is space next to our entrance tent where staff can look after it for you.

🐮
What happens to all of the pumpkins left over?
The pumpkins will all be collected up at the end of the event, and we will chop them up to feed to our cattle back at the farm.
